About Us
Nestled in the heart of the Dutch Caribbean, Sacred Heart School is the only primary school on the island. It provides education and care for 160 students ranging from 4-12 years old in an environment where children from diverse backgrounds and needs come together to learn and grow. We are looking for a quality/care coordinator who shares our commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating environment, dedicated to the well-being and development of every child.

The main tasks and responsibilities of a quality/care coordinator are:
As Quality Coordinator at Sacred Heart School, you enjoy and pay a lot of attention to good contact and communication with all teachers and students. You empower teachers and students with their questions for support and apply coaching conversation techniques. You are analytical and curious about the why and how.

As a Care coordinator, you are responsible for the coordination and implementation of the school's care and guidance policy. You prepare the implementation of the policy; you follow the developments in the field of care policy and keep the teachers informed. You also can coach teachers and support them in writing and implementing (group) plans and guiding students with (learning) challenges.

You engage in detailed discussions with parents and care providers to gain insight into the student's needs and ensure that these are accurately reflected in the educational plans.

You collaborate with the school’s management team and EC2 (The Expertise Center) to set educational goals and ensure that interventions are in place to meet the specific needs of the student.

Creating and drafting policy documents is a key part of your role. These could be related to individualized education plans (IEPs) and educational strategies, to ensure an inclusive educational environment.

Your profile:

Educational Background: You have completed relevant education and have demonstrable experience in primary education. Having an additional master's degree is highly recommended.

Communication: You are willing to take lead in all areas of communication within the school system towards the wellbeing of students and staff.

Commitment: You are dedicated to your work and have a genuine interest in the growth and development of each student.

Characteristics: You are analytical, enthusiastic, ambitious, enterprising, a good listener, and are comfortable with living, working, and integrating into a small community.

Cooperation: You enjoy working together with teachers, parents and students to get the best out of everyone and actively seek collaboration with stakeholders.

Team Player: You feel at home on an engaged team and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
